First of all, we found out my husband has good swimmers. Good volume, good motility, and hardly any durpy sperm. Now it's just a matter of finding out why my body isn't cooperating with Mr. Fertile Myrtle.
Another thing we did was take a 4 1/2 hour road trip to see Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie. We didn't get to meet Kevin Smith, but we were 2nd row center for the show and we met Jason Mewes, which was AWESOME!
We got drunk on pear cider in the hotel room, which definitely made standing in line for our tickets at will-call much more pleasant. Also, Portland is a pretty awesome town. While we were sitting at the bar drinking beer, a guy in a Darth Vader mask rode by on a unicycle playing the Star Trek theme song on bagpipes. Yes. That is Portland.
I met Jason Mewes before the show. BAD ASS!!! |
Less than a week after the great Jay & Silent Bob sojourn of '13, one of my favorite bands, Rehab, played a show in my hometown. It was their first time here, and as I've mentioned before, my hubs played a role in making it happen. It was a pretty bad ass night. The show sold out and the band were exceedingly gracious to us, thanking us for helping make it happen.
It was a really cool experience to street team w/ my hubs. He made his own version of their tour flyers and we printed them up & hung them all over town. Grassroots, baby!
My hubs hanging w/ some of the guys from Rehab and BNMC after the show. I had to go home & get 3 whopping hours of sleep before work or I would have been there for sure! |
3 days after that was our 6 year wedding anniversary. As you can imagine, there wasn't much we could do to follow the 2 weeks that preceded our big day, so we settled for a nice family dinner at a local Japanese restaurant.
Next up is my appointment to get my utes checked out. It's high time we figure out why my girly bits are being assholes. And that pretty much sums up the last 3 weeks. I'll try to post again soon, but that's all you folks are getting out of me tonight.
Happy Anniversary! Hope you find out good news!?
ReplyDeleteThanks! My appointment is day after tomorrow. I don't know how much info they'll gather at that appointment, but hopefully there will be something to report.
DeleteWelcome back. The trip sounds fantastic. I've never been to Portland but it sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Portland is such a crazy and cool town. I don't know if you've ever watched the show Portlandia, but in the first season (possibly even the first episode) they sing a song that says the dream of the '90s is alive in Portland. It's so true!! And because the '90s were awesome, so is Portland. :)
DeleteGoing to Portland this summer! Good to see a blog from you..
ReplyDeleteOoo, have fun!! If you've never been, check out Voodoo Doughnuts. They've got the most off-the-wall names ever, but TASTY!! And a trip to Portland just isn't complete w/out a stop there. :)
