Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie

I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z Challenge.  Each day in April (except Sunday), I will post topic themes that begin with the letters of the alphabet, from A-Z.  Today's letter is J.

I am a huge fan of Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes.  (Honestly, they're pretty much a single entity in my mind.)  I love that they're unapologetically vulgar, but still intelligent.  It's T&A with substance.  I could go on & on about how the first time I watched Clerks, I knew I'd never be fully content with brainless comedy again.  I could tell you the story about how the day I bought the movie Mallrats on VHS (old school!), I watched it two times back-to-back.  I have oodles of examples of my fangirl obsession with Jay & Silent Bob, but I'll stop there.  Just suffice it to say, I am a huge admirer.

Having some idea of the level of my fanaticism, you can imagine my excitement when my husband bought us tickets to Jay & Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie!!

Not impressed?  Okay.  Well, then let me mention that in addition to taking a fun-filled road trip up North with my hubs & our friend and going to see a wonderfully raunchy cartoon for grown-ups, KEVIN SMITH AND JASON MEWES WILL BE DOING SOME Q&A FOR THEIR PODCAST AFTER THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

Now do you see why I'm so excited?!

I will be in the very same building as Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes!!  There is a possibility I will meet them!!  I have been wracking my brain for the least-lame question I can possibly ask during the Q&A, but knowing me, I'll probably sit there & listen to everyone else's questions without asking one of my own for fear of sounding like a dumbass.  I'm at peace w/ my loser tendencies and accept that my voice won't be heard by thousands of people on their podcast, just as long as I get to meet them afterward.  There NEEDS to be a photo.  That's all there is to it.

Our tickets are paid for, our hotel is reserved, and I have budgeted gas/food/spending money.  In exactly 29 days, the hubs & I will drop our kiddo off at school, pick up our friend, and hit the freeway.  I think I might poop myself.

  1. My husband would poop himself for sure. He's a huge fan of their stuff. Mallrats is a good one. Hope you have fun! That's pretty cool to be in the same place that they will be!

    1. If they like raunchy, juvenile humor then yes, I'm sure they have. *lol*

  4. I'd never heard of them. I guess it's because my kids are grown but childless themselves.

    1. Don't let the word "cartoon" fool you. This is most definitely not something you'd want kids watching! *lol*
