Notable Notes

I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z Challenge.  Each day in April (except Sunday), I will post topic themes that begin with the letters of the alphabet, from A-Z.  Today's letter is N.

I am well aware that every parent believes their kid is the funniest, brightest, most clever kid in the world, but mine really is.  She says a lot of crazy/hilarious things, but I'm not going to try to list them all b/c we'd be here all day.  Instead, I'm going to share another of the ways she reminds us why we keep her around even when she can drive us bonkers: her notes.  Sometimes they're sweet, sometimes they're strange, but they always make us smile.  Whether she's leaving a note to express her feelings or trying to cheer us up, her notes are little priceless treasures.

She drew this in 2010, at the height of her werewolf obsession.
You can see she is a very humble child. *lol*

Another gem from 2010.  I don't even remember why she was in trouble,
but she was grounded for something & sent to bed early.  When I went to bed,
this note was waiting on my pillow.  I go to work very early in the morning and she
wanted me to wake her up & let her fall back to sleep on the couch watching cartoons.

My kiddo wrote this note for Janet Jackson back in '09.

I really hope her teacher doesn't take her seriously.  I promise, we don't eat raw meat
or howl around fires on holidays.

  2. I love that last note! My sons teacher kind of looks at us weird at times...makes me wonder what he's been writing.

  3. I love these. I keep my 'kids' notes in a box in my closet. My son is a sophomore in college and my daughter is starting law school in the fall. I love to re-read their notes.
