Obnoxious, Ornery, and Odd

I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z Challenge.  Each day in April (except Sunday), I will post topic themes that begin with the letters of the alphabet, from A-Z.  Today's letter is O.

I wasn't sure what I'd do for the letter O.  I'm working hard to avoid repeating last year's topics while also trying to be original.  (No, I couldn't use original b/c that is a topic I approach with the letter X.  If you're wondering how I do that, I guess you better read my blog every day, at least until I get to the letter X.  And at that point, you might as well keep reading, don't you think?!)  I went to my fb friends & was given 2 suggestions for O: orgasms and obnoxious public habits.  I was going to work them both in, but this morning I am on a manic up-swing, and that's how I came to choose today's topic.

I'm not going to yammer on about all the ways I'm obnoxious, ornery, and odd.  Instead, I'll illustrate my point via my text messages.  Enjoy.

First I had to text my husband b/c I knew it was about time for him to send me my good morning message.

Then I had to text my besty b/c I knew it was early & my husband was not likely to appreciate too many more crazy texts from me at such an hour.  I like to spread the love.  I'm generous like that.

Yeah, this is probably not amusing to anyone else, but it gave me the giggles.  Also, I apologize for the horrible Spanish.  (Just for the record, I've been speaking English my whole life & I still massacre it on a very regular basis.)  When I was texting my hubs, I actually googled direct translations of what I wanted to say.  By the time I text my besty, I just googled "Spanish sentences that use the squiggly n".  That's how I roll.©

  2. Funny. I'm forever trying to figure out symbols.

    1. I had way more fun than I should have when I figured out symbols. Once I figured them out on my phone, I had to do them on my computer, too. :) This is where I found them: http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codealt.html

  3. You're funny about the texting. That's a whole world I know nothing about as I'm not a phone person and figure I'm addicted the Internet enough already on my laptop.

    1. With the exception of my teenage years, I have always hated talking on the phone. Once texting became common, I jumped on that bandwagon quick! :)

  4. Now off to my cell phone to play. One time I played with my husbands contact list in his phone, so when I called him the next morning, all that came up was Batman. He didn't answer.

  5. I think "Oh" as in "Oh, No" would have been good here, Trish. Given your experiment with texting, en Español. But we all have to learn sometime, I guess. Me; not so much, maybe never. I have a computer, and an antique cell phone. Already I feel over-technologized — another O word.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!
