Now and Never Again

I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z Challenge. Each day in April (except the last 4 Sundays), I will post topic themes that begin with the letters of the alphabet, from A-Z. Today's letter is N.

~*~*~*~

Now, I look forward to seeing what the evening will bring.  Never again will I dread it.

Now, I say I love you & mean it.  Never again will I say it if I don't.

Now, I speak up for myself when I should. Never again will I be someone's punching bag.

Now, I have the confidence to break out of my comfort zone. Never again will I remain stuck in a bad situation b/c it's what I'm used to.

Now, I can look around & see so many blessings, I lose count of them all.  Never again will I feel as if the world is against me.

Now, I have a partner in everything.  Never again will I be a single parent.

Now, my days are busy, but fulfilling. Never again will they be hollow.

Now, I pursue what interests me.  Never again will I adjust my tastes to suit another.

Now, home is truly a safe haven.  Never again will it be frightening.

So many people look back at their life & lament how good it was before they got old.  My experience is the exact opposite. There was a time I felt as if my destiny was somewhere out in the world, just waiting for me to get the cojones to venture out & find it.  Now I know I'm right where I belong.  Never again will I have to wonder what I'm missing out on.

  1. I love happy endings :) Although I guess this isn't really the end, just a really nice part of the journey!

    1. Thank you! My now isn't perfect, but I appreciate the good & the bad b/c even at it's worst it's not as bad as it was. (Does that make any sense? I need more coffee!)

  3. I'm always glad to know when people find themselves. Sometimes it's a long and difficult search.

    1. It certainly is! Nothing is perfect, but I think going through the bad makes the good that much better. :)
